This specific lower unit is in excellent condition.  The paint is worn on the skeg some and there are a few scratches here and there, but this is entirely cosmetic. From the top of the water pump, the driveshaft measures 19-3/8" long and has 19 splines.  There are 15 splines on the propeller shaft. All of the splines are in excellent condition. This does come with the trim tab. Upon inspection, we did notice that there was some pitting on the inside of the housing, but nothing that will affect the overall performance. Given our unprecedented 1 year warranty on every lower unit, you will never find a better deal on an OEM lower unit.  Purchase with confidence!

To obtain the 1 year warranty, you MUST send in your core lower unit. We will even pay to have your core shipped to us! Below is the criteria required to validate the warranty:

  • Core must be of rebuildable quality
  • Cannot be locked up - driveshaft must spin
  • Up to 30 days from the date of purchase to send in your core
  • Covers mechanical aspects ONLY
  • Warranty begins from date of purchase
  • Core must be complete and not be missing any parts

Upon receipt of your core, we will inspect the unit to determine if it meets the criteria to validate the 1 year warranty. When you receive your purchased lower unit, there will be installation paperwork included in the package. One copy of the paperwork must be signed returned with your core. If it does not, you will be contacted and granted a 30 day warranty. We reserve the right to accept or reject any core at our discretion.
