This specific lower unit is in excellent condition.  The paint is not perfect, but this is common amongst used parts. Upon inspection, we must note that the gears were in like-new condition! The trim tab is not included. The screen on the side of housing is cracked, but this will not affect anything. This is entirely cosmetic. Given our unprecedented 1 year warranty on every lower unit, you will never find a better deal on an OEM lower unit!

From the top of the water pump houisng, the driveshaft measures approximately 19.25" long and has 17 splines. The propeller shaft has 13 splines. All the splines are in excellent shape and are not chipped or cracked. Please note that we have attached a brand new skeggard! We have also checked the shafts for straightness. Purchase with confidence!

To obtain the 1 year warranty, you MUST send in your core lower unit. We will even pay to have your core shipped to us! Below is the criteria required to validate the warranty:

  • Core must be of rebuildable quality
  • Cannot be locked up - driveshaft must spin
  • Up to 30 days from the date of purchase to send in your core
  • Covers mechanical aspects ONLY
  • Warranty begins from date of purchase
  • Core must be complete and cannot be missing any parts

Upon receipt of your core, we will inspect the unit to determine if it meets the criteria to validate the 1 year warranty. When you receive your purchased lower unit, there will be installation paperwork included in the package. One copy of the paperwork must be signed returned with your core. If it does not, you will be contacted and granted a 30 day warranty. We reserve the right to accept or reject any core at our discretion.
