Our gears are cleaned, then vapor blasted. When done this way, we’ve found that probably 1 out of 3 gears are actually not in sellable condition. There is no way that we can sell you a greasy or rusty gear and say with certainty that it’s in usable condition, so this takes the guesswork out of it. 

  • The teeth and plates on the reverse gear, pinion, and clutch dog are in excellent condition.
  • There is some slight wear as with any used part, but this will not affect the overall performance.
  • This will make a great replacement part for your outboard!
